Skiing slopes are waiting even closer than you might imagine. Every winter Tahko slopes and a wide range of well-maintained ski tracks attract skiers of all ages. When winter holidays are coming, snow will be found from Tahko.

  • There are 24 slopes at Tahko, 9 of them are more than 1 km long. The elevation difference is 200 m. At Tahko you can find speedy slopes for experienced skiers, intermediate slopes and a slope for kids or beginners.

Easy 10 km (50 %)

Intermediate 8 km (40 %)

Difficult 2 km (10 %)

  • There is also enough space for snowboarders to sharpen their skills. They can enjoy the boxes and rails of the street.

  • The mountain of Tahko has skiing slopes both on the western and the eastern sides. The western side is sloping down to the centre of Tahko resort.

  • The access to the Eastern slopes is from the road Varpaisjärventie, if you continue your driving from Nilsiä without turning to Tahko till the road signs ”Länsirinteet” (”Eastern Slopes”).

At the foot of the earsten slopes in the elevator booth of Lumilaaksontie there is a ticket machine, with which you can load a ticket on your own KeyCard paying with your bank card.

  • There are 8 T-bar lifts, 2 four-person chair lifts, 3 button lifts taking skiers to the top of Tahko. In addition there is a button lift from the parking lot to the slopes and a safe carpet lift for the youngest skiers.

  • Thanks to the footbridge across the bay Tahkolahti the way to the slopes of Tahko center has become shorter. Parking on the ice of the bay opens as soon as the weather permits. Until then we recommend leaving your car in the lit parking lot of Tahkolahti with 700 parking places (down in front of the office TahkoCom) or in the parking lot of Lumilaakso (western slopes) from where you can get right to the gentlest slope Lumilaasko (№14).

  • Restaurants at the top of the slopes are ready to fill your stomach and quench your thirst.

  • Slope services include 3 equipment rental shops, 1 equipment service place and a ski school.

  • At Tahko we have the most common lift ticket system in Finland – KeyCard. The same KeyCard can be used at many ski centres in Finland and around the world. In Finland, for example, the same KeyCard can be used at the skiing centres of «Huippupaikat» in Kasurila and in Vuokatti. A KeyCard costs 5 euros and can be reused for many years. So remember to take your old KeyCard with you. (The KeyCards starting with numbers 14 and 08 are out of use).
